Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical-Surgical unit on the 5A night shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am). You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, including activities of daily living and vital signs.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training preferred. Basic Life Support is required; one year of patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose checks.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition and equipment function.
• Adheres to the Hospital's Customer Service Program and department policies.
