Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Surgical 5A night shift (11 pm–7:30 am) at Philadelphia, PA. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, support comfort and safety, and assist with activities of daily living while monitoring vital signs and basic procedures.

Responsibilities include reporting changes in patient condition, supporting the plan of care, and complying with hospital policies and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose needs.
• Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, the results of treatments, condition of dressings and any change in patient condition.
• Incorporates the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all patient care activities.

Education
