Job summary

Temple University Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care during night shifts (11p-7a). The role supports the plan of care, monitors vital signs, and assists with daily living activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include observing equipment and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and upholding confidentiality and compassionate care as part of the Hospital's Customer Service Program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Implement components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose as needed.
• Incorporate the Hospital's Customer Service Program into patient care activities, emphasizing confidentiality, responsiveness, and caring.

Education
