Qualifications

• Minimum one year of patient access/registration experience in a medical environment.
• One year of customer service experience in any field.
• Clerical experience in a medical office setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Staff multiple hospital entry points to provide registration-related functions.
• Handle pre-registration, registration, verification and demographic/financial information gathering.
• Identify source of payment and collect payment; interface with insurers and hospital staff.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory guidelines and Joint Commission requirements.
• Assist patients physically or bedside registration as needed.
• Cross-train across registration points to support revenue cycle improvements.
