Job summary

Intuitive Health is seeking a Patient Access Advocate for a part-time night shift (6:30p–7a, two 12-hour shifts per week, one weekend per month) to greet patients, register visits, verify insurance, collect payments, and provide exceptional service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and experience in a healthcare setting or customer service. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with billing terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare setting or 1 year customer service experience.
• Basic understanding of insurance preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and billing codes (DRG, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer the phone in a friendly, professional manner.
• Register patients and update demographics in the electronic health record system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect copayments.
• Assist with clerical duties including copying, scanning, and faxing.
• Maintain patient files and ensure front desk and waiting areas are clean and presentable.
• Follow HIPAA policies and company procedures.
