Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Production Specialist I for the UD Pack B2 night shift (7pm-7:30am Wed-Fri and alternating Saturdays) in Texas. You will support setup, changeover, and packaging in a fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation, promoting safety, quality, and teamwork across the line.

You will contribute to a quality-focused environment by motivating peers and continuously pursuing excellence, with opportunities to work with cross-functional teams and improve line performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certs preferred.
• Demo of quality mindset and compliance to site procedures.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering/mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.
• Experience with SAP/MAXIMO/poms is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EH&S procedures and foster a safety culture; minimize extraneous matter in packaging.
• Perform housekeeping and line clearances; complete changes and line blowing on 1–2 value streams.
• Assist in automated equipment setup in primary/secondary packaging areas.
• Operate automated/semi-automated equipment to produce finished product with minimal supervision.
• Execute quality tasks during production: checks, samples, and bulk accountability.
• Maintain 6S standards for parts and tooling on the floor.
• Escalate safety, quality, or operating issues promptly to the right teams.
• Collaborate across functions to drive improvements; align with production schedule.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adjust to boost efficiency.
