Job summary

AbbVie in Waco, Texas is seeking a Production Specialist I for UD Packaging on B1 shift (7am-7:30pm Thu-Sat + every other Wed). You will support setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products while fostering a safety- and quality-focused team environment on the finishing line.

You will work with peers daily to drive excellence, perform quality checks, and communicate issues to engineering and mechanics. 40–48 hrs weekly, some weeks up to 60 hrs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certs preferred.
• Commitment to quality and compliance with site policies.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and drive a proactive safety culture.
• Maintain line housekeeping and perform line clearances for changes.
• Assist in setup of automated packaging equipment in multiple value streams.
• Operate equipment to produce finished product with minimal supervision.
• Conduct in-process checks and samples; ensure bulk accountability.
• Maintain 6S on parts and tooling across the floor.
• Escalate safety/quality issues and drive improvements with cross functional teams.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adjust to improve efficiency.
