Job summary

AbbVie in United States—Texas, is seeking a Production Specialist I for our UD Pack finishing operation. The role supports setup, changeover and packaging of pharmaceutical products, fostering a quality-focused environment and teamwork across shifts.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to cGMP, and collaboration with engineering and maintenance to improve line efficiency. Shift is 7am-7:30pm, 40–60 hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Demonstrated focus on quality and compliance with site procedures.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering/maintenance teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a proactive safety culture.
• Perform housekeeping and line clearances for changes on 1–2 value streams.
• Assist in automated equipment setup in packaging areas.
• Operate and service packaging equipment with minimal supervision.
• Conduct in-process checks, samples and bulk accountability during runs.
• Maintain 6S of parts and tooling on the production floor.
• Escalate safety/quality/operating issues promptly to the right teams.
• Communicate improvements through cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adjust equipment for efficiency.
