Job summary

You will visually inspect containers, collect samples, perform pH, acidity, salometer and other tests, enter results into the database, and report deviations to supervision. Must have reliable transportation and English literacy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate plus additional training needed.
• Ability to read, write and speak English required.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions needed for job tasks.
• Neat handwriting preferred for completing forms by hand.
• Basic computer knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects every container of stock as it is unloaded from the truck or trailer.
• Obtain samples of cucumbers and brined stock and perform tests (acidity, salt %, pH, sizing).
• Enter data and results into the electronic database in a timely manner.
• Report deviations to Supervisor in department 2600.
• Coordinate with Outside Production lead to inspect trucks and containers.
• Keep workstations stocked with consumables and maintain a clean, safe area.
