Job summary

Mt. Olive Pickle Company, Inc. is seeking an Outside Production Equipment Operator to manage forklifts, tractors and the pickle pump, moving green stock and brined stock to process, packing and grading areas.

You will operate 30,000 lb forklifts, document transfers, monitor equipment for safety and quality, and support maintenance on the pickle pump while coordinating with production teams to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus additional training required.
• Certified forklift operator required; training to operate larger forklift and tractor also required.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor to haul brinestock to supply process, packing, and grading departments.
• Drives tractor to pull trailer with bins to haul brinestock and empty bins to pickle pump.
• Operates pickle pump to remove stock from tanks and records information.
• Monitors pickle pump for mechanical issues and assists maintenance.
• Ensures stock quality and prevents damage during transport and handling.
• Operates 30,000 lb forklift to transport green stock to tanks and assist in tanking.
• Communicates by radio with production departments to assess needs of product.
• Keeps work area clean and follows safety rules.
