Job summary

ASML Wilton Factory Optics Fabrication – Milling, Grinding and Polishing Group Leader oversees a 15+ technician team for CWFW Front End Nights. The role drives safe, on-time delivery of high-quality optics through continuous improvement, planning, and cross-functional collaboration with Production and Development Engineers.

You will manage performance, coach staff, and uphold Lean practices while aligning with the Manufacturing Plan and KPIs. The position is based in Wilton, CT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree desired (in a science or engineering field preferred).
• Minimum of high school diploma required.
• At least 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in a complex manufacturing, production, or operations environment; optical, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong manufacturing operation acumen and Lean / Continuous Improvement experience.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook 365 and SAP or similar ERP system; ISO 9001/14001 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain alignment of goals to department and company objectives.
• Coach and mentor technicians; develop professional growth plans.
• Develop team competencies in technical skills and continuous improvement.
• Lead a team to deliver precision optics meeting KPIs such as first-pass yield and on-time delivery.
• Set up detailed production schedules and manage resource constraints.
• Ensure planned output and usable production means in collaboration with Production Engineering.
• Highlight issues and escalate requests for help as needed.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Production Engineering to improve processes for efficiency and quality.
• Demonstrate structured problem solving and change control; foster innovation.
• Lead by example and motivate the team for world-class performance.
• Coordinate with peers across shifts to maintain production continuity.
• Communicate to gain buy-in from technicians and department leaders.
• Perform time/attendance records and merit reviews; enforce company policies.
• Collaborate with HR on disciplinary issues and hiring decisions.
