Job summary

FedEx in Van Buren, MI is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All culture and manage day-to-day package sortation with a assigned staff.

You will lead safety initiatives, coach staff, plan and direct operations, and ensure compliance with FedEx policies and government regulations. This is a Twilight/Midnight, full-time role with 40 hours weekly and physical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification or Associate’s degree or college credits count toward degree.
• Six months experience in a fast-paced environment or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations and staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, and discipline staff; address employee concerns as needed.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control day-to-day operations; lead meetings and communicate updates.
• Ensure compliance with FXG policies, hazardous materials, safety programs and government regs.
• Investigate and resolve customer service issues; mentor newer supervisors.
