Job summary

FedEx Group operates a frontline supervisor role at the Phoenix hub, overseeing the Safety Above All culture and managing package handlers for safe, efficient sortation. The supervisor also coordinates administrative tasks and ensures policies and regulations are followed.

The position requires overseeing hiring, coaching, training, performance reviews, and staff productivity, with a focus on safety programs and operational excellence. Expect leadership of meetings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in package handler or related fast-paced environment; supervisor experience preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college toward a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and safety culture; hire, coach, train, recognize, and evaluate staff.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations.
• Assign employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements to key metrics.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and goals.
• Train new employees on policies, safety, and job duties.
• Mentor and develop junior supervisors.
