Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Houston is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff, coordinate driver deliveries, and manage daily logistics operations at a single location. You will guide performance, ensure safety, and drive process improvements to meet customer requirements while achieving Penske goals.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and planning skills, with a schedule of Sunday–Thursday nights and bonus eligibility based on performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain relationships with associates, leadership, customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to manage through a problem, think critically, and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete Penske employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to ensure execution of daily tasks including driver deliveries and loading/unloading.
• Supervise processes and people to meet customer needs and cost objectives.
• Schedule workforce and equipment to optimize productivity and coverage.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching and feedback.
• Manage overtime and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and proper documentation across operations.
