Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and hourly staff at a Penske location. You will supervise daily tasks, ensure service quality, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with company goals and cost objectives.

The role includes coordinating dispatch, training, attendance, and ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards. Night shift hours from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am may be required, with flexibility for peak periods.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-management experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to drive process improvement and change.
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise hourly staff and drivers.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to staff.
• Schedule, dispatch, and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; coach as needed.
• Support hiring and onboarding processes.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across operations.
