Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for the night shift in Battle Creek, MI. This on-site, permanent role oversees the production process, coordinates activities, and ensures quality and safety while driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in food manufacturing, 5+ years in supervisory roles, and a passion for improving productivity, quality, and safety within GMP-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in implementing and enforcing GMP.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
• Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in safety management and sanitation practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work during the night shift and handle the physical demands of the job.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• High level of integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process during the night shift, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Implement and enforce GMP to ensure product quality and safety.
• Coordinate all production activities, including staffing, equipment operation, and material supply.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize productivity and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary corrective actions to address any issues.
• Lead and promote a culture of safety within the team, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, overseeing sanitation practices in line with company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address concerns.
• Collaborate with other departments to align production with business goals.
