Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• 12 months relevant OR or healthcare/clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing operating rooms and case carts.
• Supports OR setup, gathers supplies, and maintains sterile field during delays.
• Ensures room has standard equipment and may turnover anesthesia equipment.
• Transports case carts and assists with room turnover between procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment and assists with OR bed setup per policy.
• Handles chemicals per policy and ensures proper labeling.
• Keeps oxygen tanks stocked and accessible for patient carts.
• Returns unused carts to SPD and sub-sterile areas.
• Performs routine unit activities as directed by manager.
• Provides support with clinical tasks as directed by RN staff.
• Assists with patient transport to/from the OR and helps reposition patients.
• Responds to codes and emergencies in OR, PACU, and Day Surgery.
• May assist in postmortem care as needed.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and training.
