Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Technician to provide basic nursing care under RN or Provider supervision. You will observe patients, communicate findings, and support team members to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities include documentation, assisting with care plans, and advocating for patient privacy and safety. This position is part-time night shift at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph with multiple site locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification (AHA) within 90 days.
• ARC BLS certification within 90 days.
• Basic nursing skills and ability to observe and report patient status.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
• Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN or Provider, consistent with clinical policies and procedures, and department standard work.
• Provides input in the development of an individualized plan of care.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to the patient, family and health team members.
• Provides support to facilitate safe, quality patient care in a cost-effective manner.
