Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated patient care technician to support nurses and care teams in Hollywood, FL. You will assist with basic patient care, monitor statuses, and help with daily activities for patients.

Under RN supervision, you will perform vital sign checks, EKG testing, phlebotomy, glucose measurement, and input/output recording. Night shifts are available; BLS certification is required or obtained during training.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Requires BLS certification.
• No degree required; on-the-job training and certification may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Keep patient rooms and areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Perform basic patient care tasks delegated by an RN: monitor vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, glucose testing, intake/output.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
