Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nursing Technician for the Emergency Observation Unit at St Joseph. You will support an RN or Provider with basic nursing tasks, observe patients, and communicate findings to the team.

The role includes night shifts and 36 hours per week, with a focus on accurate documentation and patient safety. Eligibility includes a high school diploma and BLS certification through AHA or ARC.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CRT-BLS from AHA with 90 days minimum is required, or ARC BLS with 90 days minimum.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports patients' physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs in coordination with the RN or Provider and documents promptly.
• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the RN or Provider and contributes to an individualized plan of care with accurate documentation.
• Communicates nursing technician role to patients, families, and health team to support safe, high-quality care.
• Cleans patient environments, work areas, and equipment; reports malfunctions to appropriate staff.
• Maintains privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient and staff data.
