Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the Johnson Memorial Hospital team. You will assist physicians and provide compassionate care across a variety of medical conditions.

Part-time, 12-hour night shifts; you will perform basic nursing tasks, monitor vital signs, EKGs and point-of-care tests, document in the EHR, and communicate with the Registered Nurse to ensure timely, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/BLS certification required; Red Cross preferred; AHA accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care (ADLs), document in EHR, monitor intake/output.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing; monitor patient response to care.
• Follow directions from the RN and communicate findings promptly.
• Use troubleshooting to identify issues and seek solutions.
• Educate patients and families about the care being provided.
