Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking an ED Tech to provide direct patient care under supervision, supporting RNs in the Emergency Department. The 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift requires compassion, teamwork, and the ability to perform responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, vital signs, wound care, phlebotomy, and accurate documentation. Prior EMT/EMR exposure is helpful; BLS is preferred upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic patient care and safety skills.
• CPR certification preferred; obtain prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN guidance.
• Complete patient rounding and 1:1 safety support as needed.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Assist with mobility, vital signs, and care tasks under supervision.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse; maintain quality and safety.
