Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent
• CNA license required (Illinois)
• Current BLS/CPR and other required unit-specific certifications
• Excellent attendance and interpersonal skills
• Effective communication with patients, families and staff
• Intermediate computer skills and EHR familiarity

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient admission, transfer or discharge and daily living activities
• Documents vital signs and nursing care in the EHR
• Acts as patient/family advocate and communicates with RN or LPN
• Contributes to quality outcomes, safety, and a therapeutic environment
• Participates in departmental and unit goals and problem solving
• Collaborates with staff to provide learning opportunities
