Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Austell, GA is seeking a Nursing Assistant for MedSurg CDU on FT Nights (7pm-7am). You will support the care team by assisting with ADLs, vital signs, and patient comfort, under the direction of the registered nurse, to promote safe, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, HIPAA compliance, charting in EMR, and responding to patient needs with compassion.

Qualifications

• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Graduation from a State approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Upon Hire Preferred
• Required Minimum Experience: N/A
• Knowledge of EMR documentation and patient safety practices is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Monitor and report patient status, vitals, and concerns to RN.
• Support patient transport, supplies, and medication logistics.
• Document care in EMR and uphold HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful patient environment.
