Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for MedSurg CDU on the night shift (7pm-7am). You will provide patient-centered care, perform the nursing process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires completion of an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) with an RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of experience in the area.

Qualifications

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) in clinical care with evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient-centered care tailored to age, gender, disease and culture.
• Partners with patients and families, e.g., bedside shift report, rounds, patient teaching.
• Practices using current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates safe care with documentation and interdisciplinary communication.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance across the system.
• Completes required professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
• Serves as a preceptor/mentor for staff and students.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in data collection.
