Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the MedSurg CDU on the night shift (7pm-7am). The Care Partner supports the care team by assisting with daily living activities and comfort measures, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, to promote a positive patient experience.

You will perform basic patient care tasks, participate in hourly rounds, document in EMR, and help with supplies, transport, and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior in good standing or have a high school diploma / GED.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and the health care team.
• Ability to follow detailed directions and work with a care team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN direction, assisting with ADLs, hygiene, nutrition and comfort.
• Assist with data entry and EMR documentation to ensure accurate patient records.
• Transport supplies, medications and equipment as needed for patient care.
• Participate in hourly patient rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment with adherence to infection control policies.
