Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Good Shepherd Hospital - Med Surg: IU 2 Cardiac unit. This full-time night-shift role involves patient care under RN supervision, including bathing, feeding, and mobility support.

Responsibilities include vital signs, I&O tracking, and EMR documentation, with rotating weekends and holidays. BLS completion within 45 days and active Nurse Aide status are required; GED/HSED or HS diploma accepted.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.
• GED or High School Diploma required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care: bathing, feeding, mobility.
• Record vitals, intake/output, and daily weights in EMR.
• Perform rounds, communicate needs to RN, update documentation.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision; manage rooms and supplies.
• Handle specimen collection and basic point-of-care tests as directed.
