Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead a night-shift team on a 12-hour schedule.

The role includes direct supervision, staffing, and coordinating care for high-risk patients with physicians and the nursing staff. A BSN is preferred; 3 years of nursing experience with critical care and supervisory experience are required. Weekend and night shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience; 1 year in critical care.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license if working in IL.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Mandatory Reporter and NVCI within 6 months.
• Strong language, math and critical thinking skills.
• Basic computer skills; ability to work with diverse groups; manage high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Directs supervisory staff and coordinates scheduling, interviewing and coaching.
• Provides and directs safe, effective, culturally competent care for high-risk patients.
• Coordinates care with physicians, patients, families, and nursing team.
• Leads daily huddles and maintains huddle boards.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Mentors staff and participates in performance evaluations.
