Job summary

MercyOne Central Iowa is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide individualized, high-quality nursing care across multiple units in the Des Moines metro. You will work in a family of Mercy hospitals with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.

The role requires rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, with leadership opportunities as needed. An Iowa RN license and BLS are essential, with additional training completed within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license or compact licensure required.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 weeks of hire.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients across units.
• Use a team approach to coordinate care during admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Supervise and guide patient care technicians when assigned as charge.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and patient safety during care.
