Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time Acute Care RN for the 12-hour Night Shift. You will provide safe, evidence-based care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, supervise nursing staff, and coordinate with physicians and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Iowa RN license, BLS, and willingness to meet training requirements. ACLS is needed if telemetry is in use; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; Illinois license if working in IL.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
• Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Implements and evaluates the care plan.
• Communicates clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and manages telemetry when applicable.
• Provides age-appropriate care and coordinates with physicians, patients and families.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and policies; upholds MercyOne values.
