Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Iowa is hiring a part-time Acute Care RN for night shift (7 PM–7 AM). The role requires 24 hours per week with responsibilities across acute medical and surgical patients, supervision of LPNs and care team, and coordination with physicians.

You will perform initial assessments, develop care plans, and manage discharge planning while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Requires Iowa RN license; BLS; ACLS if telemetry; strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Strong language, math and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment within 30 minutes of admission.
• Develops an outcome-based plan of care with team collaboration.
• Coordinates discharge planning and patient education.
• Monitors telemetry and manages cardiac monitoring as needed.
• Documents accurately in charts and communicates with the care team.
