Job summary

Corewell Health's Troy Emergency Center in Farmington Hills is seeking a daytime Observer/Care Support role. You will provide patient care under RN direction and support safe transport, observation duties, and documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include receptionist tasks to keep the unit running smoothly and ensuring compliance with hospital policies. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with CNA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required.
• Current CNA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Assist with safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Provide observer services for patients requiring constant observation (in person or via remote monitoring).
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support nursing unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
