Job summary

Corewell Health seeks a part-time observer in the Intensive Care Unit Cardiac at Troy Hospital. You will follow the plan of care under an RN, assist with patient transfer, and provide constant observation as needed, including remote monitoring. You will also handle light clerical tasks and document care in the EMR.

Orientation is a full week; schedule is 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Monday through Sunday, with every third weekend.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, in-person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations and document care in the EMR.
