Corewell Health’s Troy Hospital is seeking a full‑time Nursing Observer/Care Unit support for the 2N Med Surg Care Unit. You will provide patient care under RN direction, assist with transport and bedside tasks, and help with clerical duties to support a fast‑paced unit in a women’s and general surgery setting.

Completion of corporate orientation is required and a strong team mindset is essential. The role emphasizes critical thinking, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care under RN supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Serve as Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties and document care in the EMR.

Skills

BLS within 30 days

Hospital/ Nursing home exp preferred

Education
