Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician for the 12 Hour Night Shift under RN supervision. The role performs basic patient care activities and supports nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include EKGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output tracking, and assisting with activities of daily living while maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in patient care or health-related field preferred.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policies to prevent injuries and adverse outcomes for patients and staff.
• Provides nursing care and supports patient safety and quality initiatives within the ANCC Magnet framework.
• Performs basic patient care activities delegated by an RN, including EKGs, phlebotomy, glucose monitoring, and intake/output tracking.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and eating.
• Notifies nursing staff of abnormal findings or changes in condition.
• Keeps patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
