Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to work under the supervision of an RN, performing basic patient care activities and delegated duties. The role includes EKGs, phlebotomy, and assisting with daily living tasks, while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

Education typically requires a high school diploma, with CPR certification either at hire or within 60 days. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential in this role within a 12-hour night shift

Qualifications

• Education: High school level or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and spell English and perform basic arithmetic.
• CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities under supervision.
• Take blood glucose measurements and record intake/outtake.
• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Perform ordered EKGs and phlebotomy duties per policy.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly; participate in in-services and team meetings.
