Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Wayne, NJ area. The role operates Monday to Friday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM with some weekend rotation, troubleshooting and performing high- and moderate-complexity tests in a Managed Labs department.

The position emphasizes quality control, instrument maintenance, and adherence to CLIA/HIPAA standards, with opportunities for performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year (full-time) experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Preference for a minimum of 3 years clinical experience, with most recent year in the current department.
• Strong knowledge of quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOPs and QC requirements.
• Support department quality control, troubleshooting, and instrument maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of patient test results in the LIS.
• Ensure safe handling of specimens and adherence to policies.
• May assist with training of other staff and participate in inspections.
