Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Edison, NJ is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for an on-call role. The position requires performing tests of moderate to high complexity and may include weekend coverage.

The incumbent will troubleshoot instruments, support quality control, document results, and ensure CLIA/HIPAA compliance in a hospital-based laboratory at JFK. Salary range is $32.00–$50.73 per hour with potential shift differentials and eligibility for annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or related field.
• One year full-time experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independence.
• Troubleshoot instruments and procedures and support quality control.
• Document results and report to physicians per SOPs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the laboratory area.
• Assist with training and regulatory compliance as needed.
