WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital is seeking a laboratory professional for the Full Time Night Shift to support the Laboratory Support department. The role involves routine and specialized testing across divisions, instrument operation, quality control, and safety compliance.

You will train staff and collaborate with medical teams to deliver accurate results. Minimum education includes a Bachelor's degree or CAP-qualified diploma, with ASCP/AMT certifications required within 1 year.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• College diploma as part of CAP requirements if indicated on diploma within 6 months of hire.
• College transcript required within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and/or specialized testing and procedures with supervision as appropriate.
• Operates laboratory instruments and maintains records of results.
• Performs quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains related records.
• Inoculates, cultivates, and identifies microorganisms from bodily fluids and tissues to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• May perform blood typing and crossmatching as needed.
• Performs chemical and immunological tests on blood and body fluids.
• Counts and describes morphology of blood cells; performs coagulation testing.
• Prepares reagents, stains, and solutions per standard formulas.
• Trains other staff in procedures and collaborates with medical staff on laboratory services.
• Identifies safety concerns and opportunities for process improvement.
