Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to perform clinical lab testing under supervision, maintain equipment, and support QA activities in a night shift setting. You will work with the laboratory team to ensure accurate results and timely reporting, following established protocols and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds MT(ASCP) or MLS certification, a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, and at least 1 year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field.
• MT(ASCP) or MLS certification required/registered.
• Minimum 1 year hospital lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accuracy in patient, QA, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Ensures correct patient/specimen identification.
• Reports lab data within established turnaround times.
• Maintains instrumentation and participates in QA activities.
• Complies with all Wellstar policies and safety standards.
