Job summary

Cross Resource Group in Bastrop, Texas, is seeking skilled welders to support fabrication, assembly, repair, and modification of large-scale structures. Night shifts run 6:00 PM to 4:40 AM, four 10-hour shifts per week, with a 30-minute meal break.

The role requires reading blueprints and welding in all positions, including FCAW, with safety and quality as top priorities. The ideal candidate will have MIG/GMAW experience, be able to work outdoors in heavy construction areas, and pass the FCAW

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and weld symbols.
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to weld in all positions and pass an FCAW weld test.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, assembly, and fabrication on large-scale structures and assemblies.
• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding.
• Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and engineering staff.
• Modify, repair, assemble, and install large-scale equipment and components.
• Inspect completed work after each operation to ensure it meets drawing specifications.
• Operate general shop equipment, including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment.
