TransTech Group in McGregor, TX is seeking a Welder for night shift to fabricate ASME pressure vessels and related components. You will read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and weld in all positions (2G-6G).

You're expected to operate MIG, FCAW, and SAW processes, set up machines to WPS, inspect welds, and work with an overhead crane on site. Night differential applies and competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints.
• Read measurements.
• Layout and fit various vessel and piping-related components.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Understand and perform welding with MIG, FCAW, SAW processes.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have pulsed MIG welding experience.

Responsabilités

• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Interpret welding symbols and apply the correct welds.
• Use specialized machinery for welding and oversee machines.
• Use standard hand and power tools for fabrication.
• Assess welded surfaces for quality and corrections.
• Set up welding machines to operate within the welding procedure specs.
• Monitor machinery usage and temperature.
• Weld in all positions and inspect welds visually.
