Job summary

MICA Steelworks Haltom City, TX is seeking a Welder to fit, join, fabricate and repair metal parts per job specs and schedules.

You will work with the Welding Lead and Shift Supervisor to ensure UT passable welds and maintain production levels, including extreme temperatures and night shifts.

This full-time, on-site role requires 1–2 years welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read blueprints and operate welding equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years welding experience required.
• Overhead and jib crane experience required.
• Pass 2G, T-Joint, and Carbon Air Arc tests.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fit components using a wire welder.
• Weld steel components per layouts and drawings.
• Weld in various directions (flat/horizontal).
• Set up and layout parts with jigs/fixtures to fabricate parts.
• Collaborate with fitters/welders on multi-component parts.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools safely.
• Inspect welds and verify against specs.
• Follow job orders and engineering drawings.
