Job summary

International Motors in San Antonio is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer - MES to drive the digital transformation of our truck manufacturing operations. This salaried role requires leading MES strategy, implementation, and optimization across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain systems.

You will collaborate with Operations, IT, Quality, and Engineering to improve productivity, traceability, and cost performance while supporting continuous improvement and Industry 4.0

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing
• Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead MES initiatives supporting truck manufacturing and assembly operations
• Develop and execute MES roadmaps aligned with plant and enterprise objectives
• Serve as the primary technical resource for MES applications and manufacturing systems
• Mentor engineers and support cross-functional project teams
• Analyze production workflows to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality
• Develop and implement digital manufacturing processes and process controls
• Drive continuous improvement focused on OEE, cycle time, and waste reduction
• Lead integration between MES, ERP, PLC, SCADA, quality, and warehouse systems
• Collaborate with IT and automation teams to ensure seamless communication
• Support Industry 4.0 and smart factory initiatives
• Provide MES support for production operations and rapidly resolve issues
• Root-cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Support production launches, equipment commissioning, and process changes
• Develop and maintain manufacturing traceability systems and data reporting
• Ensure regulatory compliance, customer requirements, and audits
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for productivity and quality
• Drive data-driven decision making across manufacturing
• Lead MES implementation, upgrades, and expansion projects
• Coordinate stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks
