Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Medical Technologist/POC/MLS for a night shift (7P–7A) in a small-format hospital setting. The role includes specimen collection, analysis, and reporting under established protocols, with supervision over assigned lab activities. A Bachelor’s degree and BLS are required, plus state-specific clearances.

Travel to multiple facility locations is possible. Qualified candidates will have strong laboratory skills, phlebotomy and EKG experience, and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• PA market: minimum of 6 years core lab experience; Act 33 and Act 73 completed or obtained prior to start date.
• Las Vegas market: MLS/MLT certification (ASCP/AMT); Nevada license or ability to obtain; minimum 3 years lab experience in non-waived specialties.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and complex tests in all lab areas per protocols to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collect and process specimens per established protocols.
• Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure instrument accuracy.
• Validate and deliver test results; assist with QA issues.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards; document compliance with regulations.
• Assist with proficiency testing and corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate lab activities with Lab Director and Technical Consultant; support patient care within license scope.
