Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC in Machias, ME seeks a Laboratory Technologist for the night shift to perform diagnostic tests and report results to physicians for diagnosis and treatment. The role includes supporting QA, maintaining equipment, and exercising independent judgment under supervision.

Required are an MLT/MT credential, AMT or ASCP certification or eligibility, and the ability to work nights. This is a 13-week contract with benefits coordination through ARMStaffing.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Certification/registration eligibility as Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Knowledge of medical technology principles, methods and equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory tests and report results to physicians.
• Assist in quality assurance programs and maintain laboratory operations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper function.
• Exercise independent judgment in test performance and interpretation.
• Act as supervisor for waived, moderate, and high complexity testing post-probation.
