Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the WI Central Lab Core Lab. You will perform various laboratory tests in acute care settings, applying manual and automated techniques and reporting timely results.

This role requires MT/MLS credentials within 1 year, a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology, and the ability to work 2200-0630 with weekend coverage. Benefits+include comprehensive Total Rewards.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing of biological specimens in an acute setting using manual or automated techniques.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work within required timeframes.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports accordingly.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments as needed.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance per protocol and takes corrective action.
• Ensures proper labeling and suitability of specimens for testing.
• Provides training and technical assistance to staff and students.
• Supports quality improvements and accreditation requirements.
• Performs specialty testing across transfusion services, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation and flow cytometry.
• Provides timely lab results to critical care departments during high acuity events.
