Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory professional for the IL Central Lab: Core Lab. The role is full-time with a 3rd shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) and rotating weekends/holidays.

The position involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests and ensuring timely reporting of results. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences (or equivalent) and are eligible for MT/MLS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests per established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and notifies accordingly.
• Documents calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments.
