Job summary

Advocate Health’s WI Central Lab: Core Lab in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform comprehensive testing across multiple specialty areas in a 2200-0630 night shift, 1 in 3 weekend rotation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available.

The role requires MT/MLS certification within 1 year and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support critical care departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of biological specimens in an acute setting in any/all specialty areas using manual or automated techniques.
• Monitors workflow and makes necessary adjustment to complete work in an appropriate time frame.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance, validity and appropriateness; follows reporting policies.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; identifies and corrects malfunctions.
• Provides training and technical guidance to staff and students as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting standards and CAP requirements in an acute setting.
• Supports critical care departments with timely, accurate results during high acuity events.
