Job summary

Advocate Health’s WI Central Lab is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the 40-hour night shift (2200-0630, Mon-Fri, 1 in 3 weekends) in Wisconsin. The role involves performing diverse laboratory tests, reporting results promptly, and maintaining quality control in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology and MT/MLS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• Certification as MT/MLS within 1 year or MT via AMT same timeline.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of specimens across specialties using manual or automated techniques.
• Report timely and accurate laboratory results using independent judgment.
• Ensure accuracy of test results, calibration and instrument maintenance as per protocols.
• Monitor workflow and adjust to complete work within scheduling constraints.
• Maintain quality control and QA documentation to meet accreditation standards.
• Provide training and guidance to staff as needed and contribute to education programs.
